VETTA CHAMBER MUSIC PRESENTS FIVE CONCERT EACH FOUR TIME AT POINT GREY UNITED CHURCH (FRIDAY AFTERNOON) AND AT PYATT HALL (SUNDAY AFTERNOON) IN VANCOUVER AT WEST VANCOUVER UNITED CHURCH (SATURDAY EVENING) IN WEST VANCOUVER AND AT ARTSPRING (MONDAY AFTERNOON) ON SALT SPRING ISLAND. THIS WAS OUR 38TH SEASON PERFORMED TO A LIVE AUDIENCE AND TO GREAT ACCLAIM. ATTENDANCE WAS APPROX 3500.
New programs
THIS SEASON WE CONTINUED WITH OUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM STARTED THE PREVIOUS SEASON AS AN EXPERIMENT. THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM BRINGS TOGETHER OUR USUAL GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS WITH A GROUP OF UP AND COMING MUSICIANS FROM THE VANCOUVER AREA. OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR ORGANIZES EXTENDED REHEARSAL PERIODS CONDUCTS WORKSHOPS ON HOW TO PERFORM WITHIN AN ENSEMBLE AND PREPARES THE MENTEES FOR THE UPCOMING CONCERT.
