Nidus provides information and assistance to the public on Representation Agreements and other personal planning documents through: - Assisting individuals by phone email and in person; answering frequently asked questions for the public through the website - Conducting information seminars for the public professionals volunteers and staff of community organizations - Producing publications and videos for the public; sharing stories of people's experiences and making available on the website - Offering self-help kits to make a Representation Agreement with Section 7 Standard Powers and Section 9 Broader Powers - Operating an online registry in case of health crisis and resulting incapacity end-of-life and other support needs - Updating templates for basic (free) legal documents (Representation Agreements) for personal use to authorize someone to assist with health and personal care decisions and routine financial and legal affairs - Record videos that community groups and public libraries can use for presentations in their programming Online presentations - What if I'm hospitalized?: Get your affairs in order before a health crisis. Information to community groups and BC Legislation on consent to health care if adult is not capable of informed consent to Covid-19 vaccination. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and cautions answered specific questions by email or if applicable set up free phone appointments. Storytelling videos based on lived experiences to provide information and raise awareness. Webinars in collaboration with related community groups to raise awareness.
