THE CAMBRIDGE FOOD BANK PROVIDES EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS LIVING IN CAMBRIDGE AND NORTH DUMFRIES. WE ALSO PROVIDE A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON HEALTH AND NUTRITION FOR ADULTS FAMILIES AND CHILDREN. IN OUR GARDEN APPROXIMATELY 10 000 POUNDS OF ORGANIC PRODUCE FOR DISTRIBUTION TO THOSE IN NEED. A LOW-COST FARMERS MARKET THAT TRAVELS TO 11 NEIGHBOURHOODS OFFERS FRESH PURCHASED PRODUCE WELL BELOW RETAIL PRICES. WE ALSO PROVIDE FOOD AND HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES TO 15 LOCAL NON-PROFITS AS PART OF THE REGION-WIDE FOOD ASSISTANCE NETWORK.
