Generate Canada is a national charity that connects problem-solvers across sectors and value chains to generate solutions to the most complex challenges at the nexus of environment economy and society. The organization’s vision is a strong and inclusive economy that thrives within nature’s limits. To advance that vision the organization creates and operates Solution Spaces - multi-stakeholder initiatives that foster deep collaboration between diverse partners to innovate test and scale solutions to 'wicked' sustainability challenges. These Solutions Spaces include the Canada Plastics Pact working to keep plastics in our economy and out of people and nature; Circular Economy Leaders Canada working to eliminate waste and maximize the value of Canada’s supply chains; Energy Futures Lab fostering innovations that accelerate an inclusive Alberta and Canadian energy transition; the Nature Investment Hub working to increase investment fivefold in nature conservation restoration and stewardship; and CANZA (Canadian Alliance for Net-Zero Agri-food) focused on accelerating action for climate-smart agriculture. Solution Space teams advisory councils platforms and partnerships are all custom designed to address the specific problem each is working to solve. This enables flexibility to meet challenges where they are–an approach that is critical to driving pragmatic solutions.
