Ongoing programs
Mahone Bay Centre Society continues to provide space for artists service groups small business and fitness programs while offering a vast array of community programs for all ages to be a recreational and arts hub for our communities. The Centre provides space for community arts programs recreation including soccer badminton Aikido; fitness classes and meditation; arts and writer's groups. We also continue to be home to the South Shore Alternate School Mahone Bay and Area Food Bank and Coastal Action environmental group. Mahone Bay Centre Society continues to provide space for artists service groups small business and fitness programs while offering a vast array of community programs for all ages to be a recreational and arts hub for our communities. The Centre provides space for community arts programs recreation including soccer badminton Aikido; fitness classes and meditation; arts and writer's groups. We also continue to be home to the South Shore Alternate School Mahone Bay and Area Food Bank and Coastal Action environmental group. Our many activities require many hands - we have a volunteer board of 14 and many other community members and volunteers contribute their time and skills in support of the Centre - taking tickets working fundraising events gardening building maintenance communication and fundraising support.
New programs
In 2023 we installed a generator to allow us to become a place for community members to charge devices and keep warm in the happenstance of extended power outages.
