POPPY DAY CAMPAIGN OCCURS ONCE A YEAR. FOR DONATIONS OF MONEY POPPIES AND WREATHS ARE DISTRIBUTED ON REMEMBRANCE DAY. THESES FUNDS ARE TRANSFERRED TO THE CANADIAN LEGION POPPY DAY FUND WHICH PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS FOR MEDICAL DENTAL BURSARIES AND CARE EQUIPMENT FOR HOSPITALS FOR THE CARE OF VETERAN PATIENTS WHICH ARE NOT COVERED BY THE DVA OR LOCAL PROGRAMS.
