What it does — in its own words

Ongoing programs

PBS published printed and distributed FREE BibleTime NewLife and Gleaners Lessons each month to approx. 1650 students (all ages). These were marked each month by our team of some 171 volunteer teachers. We returned this year to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon. Our focus was mainly on the radio work with a new large centre text banner highlighting the Word of God as part of a corner display for the first time. Over 2000 new applications were received the majority through the website. At the end of the year all our non-PBS book stocks were sold as we will no longer be having Book Displays at local church conferences. Sponsorship of Anchorpoint Radio continued on three Arctic Radio stations NCI and CKDM 730 in Dauphin. During the same period COMPASS POINT aired free of charge on four of these five stations plus four Golden West stations while sponsored for an extra slot on Artic Radio and on NCI. COMPASS POINT was also broadcast free of charge on Caribbean Radio Lighthouse in Antigua twice daily seven days a week. The PBS Centre moved location in Sept. '23 from Portage la Prairie MB to Steinbach MB

New programs

In February 2024 sponsorship of Anchorpoint Radio on AM1250 in Steinbach commenced weekly on a Thursday night at 9.30 pm. COMPASS POINT was also added to two more Golden West Stations in Manitoba. (One in Grand Prairie & one in Winnipeg [CHVN] both again free of charge.)
