The Estevan Humane Society was founded in 1994 as a non-profit organization. The ultimate goal of the Shelter is to return all domestic animals to their owners adopt animals to good homes place animals in foster homes and transfer animals to approved rescue groups. The Estevan Humane Society operates under a 'No Kill' mandate. Barring illness or injury that impedes quality of life or a danger to the health or safety of the public We will house and care for an animal in our custody until such time as a suitable home is found. The Estevan Humane Society was founded in 1994 as a non-profit organization. The Estevan Humane Society operates under a 'No Kill' mandate. Barring illness or injury that impedes quality of life or a danger to the health or safety of the public We will house and care for an animal in our custody until such time as a suitable home is found. We are proud to be part of the no-kill network as well. This is a network that aims to increase knowledge of the benefits of no kill shelters and direct people where to find them in their area.

The Estevan Humane Society has progressively started and continued a TNR - Trap and Release Program to spay/neuteur ferel cats and release them back to their colonies in order to stop the increasing population of strays.
