Our mission is realized through the Band Performance Program which operates in tandem with the Music Education and Student Mentorship Program. These programs extend inclusive participation opportunities to individuals with diverse levels of musical experience fostering a collaborative encouraging and inclusive atmosphere. We welcome adult and student members regardless of their skill or experience level to be part of our musical community. In addition to our commitment to music education and mentorship the CCB also plays a pivotal role in promoting volunteerism especially among high school students looking to fulfill their 40-hour community volunteer hour requirement. Our organization actively engages and supports these young volunteers helping them contribute to the community while nurturing their passion for music. The Caledon Concert Band Association boasts a rich legacy of mentoring students and making significant musical contributions to both its local community and the surrounding areas. The charitable fundraising efforts of the Band are dedicated in part to bolstering local and regional musical initiatives special events and a scholarship program. The principal performance endeavor of the association is the Caledon Concert Band. Throughout our 50+ year award-winning history the band has been a place where young and old student and professional beginner and seasoned musicians can all come together play teach learn and have fun. The band typically performs 10 - 15 times per year including 3 - 4 formal concerts. The band makes 8 - 10 appearances at outdoor venues such as fairs commemorative functions and has participated occasionally on parade floats. We rehearse once per week throughout the year. Our rehearsals are structured yet informal demanding but not intimidating serious about professionalism but friendly and supportive
