ORGANIZATION OF SASKATCHEWAN ARTS COUNCILS

OSAC hosted Showcase 2023 | October 14-16 | Regina Saskatchewan. The host hotel was the Ramada Plaza and the Performing Arts Venue was Darke Hall. The attendance for Showcase 2023 was 165 full delegates as well as day and guest registrations throughout the three days. The event also included professional development workshops live performances networking the exhibitor exchange and visual arts exhibitions. In the 2023/2024 season OSAC presented 170 performances by 39 different artists in 35 communities and 27 151 audience members. The School Touring Program offered in-person presentations involving the following disciplines: Music with a Science Component Cultural Diversity and Awareness Hoop Dance and Storytelling. The total audience numbers were approximately 25 568 students and teachers. There were four tours involving 74 schools and travelling to 52 communities throughout Saskatchewan. Fifteen visual and media arts exhibitions toured 57 venues throughout the province and were viewed by over 42 000 people including approximately 590 tours. Out of the total number of viewers roughly 1710 people participated in exhibition programming which included artist talks hands-on-or informational workshops OSAC provided funding to their membership through several performing and visual arts grant programs. Along with bursaries for travel and youth to attend the Showcase event.
