The Guelph Hiking Trail Club is governed and managed by club volunteers with no paid staff or facilities. The club maintains approximately 80 km of hiking trails for use by the public. It develops extensions and side trails as opportunities arise with the permission of the public and private landowners. The club promotes hiking as a healthy physical activity and encourages conservation and appreciation of the environment and heritage. The Guelph Hiking Trail Club is governed and managed by club volunteers with no paid staff or facilities. The club maintains approximately 80 km of hiking trails for use by the public. It develops extensions and side trails as opportunities arise with the permission of the public and private landowners. The club promotes hiking as a healthy physical activity and encourages conservation and appreciation of the environment and heritage.
