Ongoing programs

We continue to restore and maintain the Acton Town Hall Centre to serve as a vibrant venue for community gatherings and events. The facility is regularly rented for meetings classes and private functions supporting a wide range of local activities. In collaboration with partners such as the Rotary Club of Acton and the Town of Halton Hills we offer community programming that engages residents of all ages. We continue to restore and maintain the Acton Town Hall Centre to serve as a vibrant venue for community gatherings and events. The facility is regularly rented for meetings classes and private functions supporting a wide range of local activities. In collaboration with partners such as the Rotary Club of Acton and the Town of Halton Hills we offer community programming that engages residents of all ages. Our popular music events and signature initiatives including the annual Stocking Auction and Christmas Market continue to draw strong attendance while the historical calendar delivered to Acton households provides stories and information about the history of Acton and its residents. We also maintain in-house heritage displays and actively participate in community heritage celebrations such as Doors Open and Culture Days.

New programs

In 2024 Heritage Acton secured a $30 000 Community Improvement Grant from the Town of Halton Hills which required matching funds. Through generous contributions from local donors and the Rotary Club of Acton we successfully replaced the HVAC system and completed essential roofing repairs at the Acton Town Hall Centre. The restorations have enhanced the facility's functionality leading to increased rentals for weddings meetings and community events .We updated our by-laws according to the new ONCA legislation and introduced several new community events for all to gather including hosting Show more
