SOCIAL PLANNING COUNCIL OF PEEL

The Social Planning Council of Peel has made certain expansion and modification to its vision mission and current focus areas of services. The Social Planning Council of Peel is dedicated to the United Nations' 17 Goals by addressing the concerns of no poverty zero hunger good health and well-being quality education gender equality reduced inequalities peace justice and strong institutions and partnerships for the goals. The Social Planning Council of Peel achieves its Mission through: Action Oriented Community Research Programs Public Education and Wellness Services and Community Development/Capacity Building Services. Over the past year 2023/24 the SPCP focused its work in three areas: research and evaluation on health environment and youth violence; 6 Educational Workshops and Awareness-Raising activities for high-risk and gang-involved youth; and the provision of mentoring and management support to students new groups and new human service agencies in Peel. Our current Focus Areas of Services: 1) Youths' Well-being and Skills Development Services 2) Seniors' well-being and social activity services 3) Immigrants' Well-being and Skills Development Services 4) Women’s Program 5) Social and Physical Well-being Services 6) Consultation and Training to improve other organizations with inclusive and people-centered services
