The core of our mandate is to maintain a professional performing ensemble of high excellence and flexibility in order to perform a wide range of the finest choral repertoire at home and on tour. The 2023/24 season included 11 unique programs in our subscription series; two of these were co-productions with local partner organizations. An additional five performances and three recording projects were produced by other organizations. Our mandate is also to support and encourage the growth of the choral art in our local and national communities which we continue to do through our award-winning educational outreach programs. These include workshops for post-secondary singers (Focus) advanced training for conductors (Conductors’ Symposium) and composers (Interplay) our biennial Young Composers’ Competition (ages 8-22) and our choral encouragement program for elementary and secondary school students and their teachers (OnSite).
