Ongoing programs
CURRENT DISPLAYS INCLUDE THE ONTARIO NORTHLAND RAILWAY OUR OLD FASHIONED SITTING ROOM OR PARLOUR AND OUR OUTDOOR FARMING EQUIPMENT DISPLAY. WE PARTICIPATED IN OUR LOCAL FALL FAIR AND OUR CHRISTMAS BAZAAR WHICH WAS HELD AT OUR MUSEUM. OUR MUSEUM RELIES ON ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS. WE HAVE OVER 30 VOLUNTEERS WHO HELP OUT ALL YEAR TOTALLING OVER 1100 VOLUNTEER HOURS.
New programs
WE ARE PREPARING FOUR NEW DISPLAYS FOR THE MUSEUM. THESE INCLUDE PREPARING OUR OUTDOOR FARMING DISPLAY FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON SETTING UP THE LARGER AREA IN OUR MUSEUM TO RESEMBLE A ONE ROOM SCHOOL CLASSROOM SET UP A VINTAGE HAT DISPLAY AND AN EXHIBIT OF MAPS FROM THE EARLY YEARS OF OUR COMMUNITY. THE MAP EXHIBIT WILL ALSO FEATURE INFORMATION OF HOW MANY STREETS WERE NAMED IN THE EARLY YEARS.
