Safehousing Program Our Safehousing Program offers temporary shelter to animals in crisis situations mainly fleeing domestic violence we provide a secure environment where pets are cared for until they can return home or be rehomed. This program ensures that no pet is left behind during times of upheaval. Ongoing Veterinary Care We prioritize the health of our animals by providing continuous veterinary care. Each animal receives a comprehensive health check upon intake followed by vaccinations spaying/neutering and any necessary medical treatments. Our partnerships with local veterinarians enable us to provide both routine care and specialized treatments ensuring that every animal is in the best possible health before adoption. Shelter and Care Our shelter offers a safe haven for over 20 dogs at any given time providing them with comfortable living conditions and 24/7 access to outdoor runs. For dogs that are anxious or uncomfortable in kennels we have a special home-like room with a couch where they can relax in a less stressful environment. Our dedicated team ensures that all animals receive daily exercise socialization and enrichment activities to keep them happy and healthy during their stay with us. Foster Program Fostering is a critical component of our rescue efforts. We seek foster homes ideally within 45 minutes of Airdrie to provide temporary care for our animals. This allows us to give more individualized attention to animals in need especially those who require special care or are recovering from medical treatments. Foster families play a vital role in preparing animals for their forever homes. Community Outreach and Education KCS is deeply committed to educating the public about responsible pet ownership animal welfare and the importance of spaying and neutering. We organize regular community events workshops and school programs to raise awareness and promote compassion for animals. Additionally our team works tirelessly to engage the community in our mission encouraging volunteers donors and advocates to get involved and support our cause.
