The Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival continued its mission to celebrate great works in the horror genre in 2024 with an in-person event over two weekends which included 8 feature films 46 short films 4 panel discussions and awards presented in 21 categories. In 2024 VHS also became a Canadian Screen Award qualifying festival. All selected filmmakers were promoted and featured on the VHS website social media platforms and editorials featured in print and digital media including CBC Radio Global News The Vancouver Sun and the Vancouver Guardian. In 2024 the VHS also continued with the VHS Table Read Series where a the 3 short screenplay finalists had their works read and performed by professional actors and had the opportunity to receive feedback from a panel of industry insiders.
