Food Stash Foundation prevents good food from going to waste and provides dignified food access. The organization rescues over 130 000 pounds of surplus perishable food per month from over 25 local grocery stores wholesalers and farms. About 80% of this healthy food is delivered to 38 community-serving partner organizations and the remainder is provided directly to community members through weekly Rescued Food Box home deliveries to over 120 households and an affordable Rescued Food Market that is open to the public. Food Stash Foundation prevents good food from going to waste and provides dignified food access. About 80% of this healthy food is delivered to 38 community-serving partner organizations and the remainder is provided directly to community members through weekly Rescued Food Box home deliveries to over 120 households and an affordable Rescued Food Market that is open to the public. Over 70 active volunteers support the organization each month with sorting food packing and delivering food boxes and running the market. Food Stash also supports the operations of the Mount Pleasant Community Fridge.
