Toronto Teachers' Center of Torah Umesorah facilitates educational excellence by assisting teachers schools and ultimately allowing students to realize their full potentials. The Center provides educators with the opportunity to attend many lectures and workshops on a broad range of topics and grade levels. Among the topics presented were 'Coping with Stress and Anxiety in the Classroom' 'Fostering Phonemic Awareness' and a Hebrew Literacy Training Course. The Toronto Teachers' Center of Torah Umesorah also coordinated networking sessions bringing together teachers of the same grade levels from various schools to discuss strategies and share effective teaching methods. The Center has run courses in beginner intermediate and advanced levels of Microsoft Word and offered SMARTboard training to over 175 teachers to date. Future plans include courses in all of the above with additional courses in Photoshop and Powerpoint. Since opening in January 2011 we have logged over 5 000 teacher visits a testimony to the necessity of this unique resource.
