THE AMPUTEE COALITION OF CANADA (HEREINAFTER THE 'COALITION') HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED UNDER THE FOLLOWING CHARITABLE PURPOSES: ' TO PROVIDE PEER SUPPORT AND COUNSELLING TO CANADIAN AMPUTEES AND THEIR FAMILIES BASED ON THE PEER VISITOR PROGRAM TO HELP THEM OVERCOME THE TRAUMATIC EVENT OF LIMB LOSS. ' TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL TOOLS AND PROGRAMS TO AMPUTEES TO HELP THEM COPE WITH LIMB LOSS AS WELL AS TO FACILITATE THEIR REINTEGRATION INTO THE COMMUNITY. ' TO HELP HAITIAN AMPUTEES BY SENDING VOLUNTEERS WHO WILL: (1) PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL TOOLS AND PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO HELP THEM COPE WITH THEIR NEW CONDITION; (2) PROVIDE TRAINING TO LOCAL CLINICS AND REHABILITATION CENTRES AND (3) IMPLEMENT PEER SUPPORT GROUPS BASED UPON THE PEER VISITOR PROGRAM.
