What it does — in its own words

Ongoing programs

2024 was a better year for our organization. As mentioned last year we had the upset of an abrupt change in Artistic Director early in 2023. We were very fortunate in being able to locate a replacement in very short order. This gentleman carried us through that first concert series and subsequently agreed to continue with us in that capacity. We are pleased to report that he has recently signed a contract extension that will keep him with us until June of 2027 at least! We are very pleased and encouraged that our Children and Youth Choir has shown a great deal of growth during 2024 and Show more

We are pleased to report that he has recently signed a contract extension that will keep him with us until June of 2027 at least! We are very pleased and encouraged that our Children and Youth Choir has shown a great deal of growth during 2024 and into the start of 2025. We are working hard to ensure that growth continues as the young people will hopefully be the adults in the other areas of the Society going forward. We are committed to continuing to promote choral music to the citizens of Delta and the surrounding areas. We have 2 main concert series each year one in the Spring and one in the Fall. Our attendance for those series ranges between 600 and 1 000 usually. We are hoping to expand our outreach opportunities and will continue to support the local high schools by offering a bursary to a graduating student to assist them with post-graduate education in a music related field.
