What it does — in its own words
Ongoing programs
The Duet Club of Hamilton awards scholarships in voice piano instrumental and choral to students and choral groups in the Greater Hamilton Area. In the spring of 2023 ten scholarships were awarded at the Hamilton Music Festival. In addition two scholarships were awarded in the organ/conducting category independently of the HMF. The scholarship recipients were then offered the opportunity to take part in a recital in September 2023. A couple of them also performed at other concerts the Club hosted during the year.
New programs
The Duet Club of Hamilton is committed to bringing free music to the community for the joy of it! The chorus Women of Song performed at various venues throughout the city: street festivals public libraries schools and at locations caring for the unhoused and those experiencing food insecurities.
