Ongoing programs
DURING 2024 THE SOCIETY CONTINUTED TO COLLECT HISTORICAL CLOTHING TEXTILES RELATED ARTIFACTS AND ARCHIVAL MATERIALS. THE SOCIETY HELD THREE HISTORICAL FASHION SHOWS & LECTURES DURING THE YEAR. AND IT CONTINUED TO EXPLORE LOCATIONS FOR A PERMANENT MUSEUM.
New programs
IN 2024 THE SOCIETY WAS AWARDED A $250 000 GRANT FROM THE CANADIAN MUSEUM OF HISTORY TO DEVELOP AND PRODUCE AN ONLINE EXHIBITION WITH A MULTIFACETED EXPLORATION OF FASHION'S HISTORY AND CONNECTIONS TO THE SOCIETAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS THAT HAVE OCCURRED OVER TIME. THIS IS A MULTI YEAR PROJECT WHICH WILL CONTINUE IN TO 2025 AND 2026. IN 2024 THE SOCIETY SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETED 'PHASE I - PRODUCTION PLAN' OF THIS PROJECT.
