TO REHOME ALL THE ANIMALS WHO ARRIVE IN OUR CARE WHILE ENSURING THEY ARE ALL VACCINATED AND SPRAYED/NEUTERED PRIOR TO BEING ADOPTED. WE CAREFULLY SELEC HOMES THAT WILL BE SUITABLE FOR EACH ANIMAL AND ASSIST IN MAKING THE REHOMING AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE FOR THE ANIMAL. CONTRACTS ARE SIGNED BY THE ADOPTEE AGREEING TO CONTINUE TO ENSURE THE ANIMAL IS KEPT HEALTHY BY FOLLLOWING VETERINARY INSTRUCTIONS AND ANNUAL CHECKUPS. WE ASSIST IN FOSTERING ANIMALS BELONGING TO PEOPLE FORCED TO GO TO THE MEN AND WOMENS SHELTER OR HOSPITAL. (ANIMALS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THOSE PREMISES). OUR SHELTER HAS THE LARGEST GEORGRAPHICAL AREA IN EXCESS OF 250 COMMUNITIES IN WESTERN NFLD FROM THE BAY OF ISLANDS TO THE NORTHERN PENINSULA AND EAST TO BAIE VERTE PENINSULA.

WE ASSIST THE HOMELESS WHEN POSSIBLE IN THEIR ANIMAL CARE IE PROVIDING FOOD AND FOSTER CARE. (THIS HAS BECOME OVERWHELMING SINCE COVID). WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS TO WORK UNDER OUR UMBRELLA PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED SOCIAL AND WELLBEING FOR THESE PEOPLE. WE TRAIN AND EMPLOY WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF GRANTS WHERE POSSIBLE YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY WHERE THEY LEARN IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT LIFE LEARNING SKILLS. WE ASSIST SENIORS WHO FIND THEMSELVES UNABLE TO CARE FOR THEIR ANIMALS AS THEY ARE MOVING TO A HOME OR LONG TERM CARE.
