The mission of the Osoyoos Desert Society is to inspire curiosity understanding and active concern for healthy ecosystems through education conservation research and community leadership. We fulfill our mission through: 1. operation of the Osoyoos Desert Centre (ODC) a 67-acres nature educational facility 2. educational tours displays and interpretive signs at the ODC 3. a native plant demonstration garden at the ODC 4. year-round educational workshops lectures and events 5. educational programs and events for schools 6. outreach presentations for community organizations 7. educational materials and website resources 8. native landscaping and habitat restoration resources events and projects 9. protection study and restoration of 67 acres of endangered antelope-brush habitat in the south Okanagan Osoyoos Desert Society is supported by a dedicated group of more than 50 volunteers.
