Ongoing programs
Protestant Cemetery - Managing burial sites and preparing graves for deposit of cremation remains or coffin; General upkeep and maintenance of cemetery grounds as required e.g. cutting grass removing branches coordinating repairs of monuments; Oversee installation of bases foundations and monuments. Maintain records of all burials services and lots. Act as a point of contact for churches funeral homes and family & descendants looking for info or a grave-site.
New programs
Continuing the transition to digitize all of the cemetery records/books of who is buried in what grave-sites and what grave-sites are intended for use by what family. Building a new website for the cemetery where burial or lot requests can be submitted more easily lot database can be searched and historically significant monuments can be showcased. Continued work on headstones restorations for older stones that are broken tipped-over sunken etc. at the cemetery's expense commenced and is expected to continue concluding in 2025 depending on availability of the local granite specialist. … Show more
