Ongoing programs

The Toronto Choral Society (2005) is a group of amateur choristers who partake in regular rehearsals and present concerts. TCS sang at the Government of Ontario Annual Remembrance Day Commemoration ceremonies on Nov 11 2023 TCS performed a Christmas concert 'The Bach Christmas Oratorio' with orchestra and soloists on Dec 1 2023 TCS presented a gala fund-raiser titled 'TCS Celebrates the Sun' on March 23 2024. In January 2024 TCS re-activated The Peggy Ann Walpole Womens' Singers (formerly The Streethaven at the Crossroads Womens' Choir) whose members are at-risk women in Toronto. TCS provides regular choral rehearsals to this group as well as opportunities for the members to perform at various events.

In fiscal year July 1 2024 through June 30 2025 TCS will again sing at the Government of Ontario Annual Remembrance Day Commemoration ceremonies on Nov 11 2024. TCS will perform 'Gloria!' including Vivaldi’s Gloria Gloria from Bach’s Mass in B Minor Gloria from Mozart’s Spatzenmesse and other works on Dec 1 2024 with orchestra and soloists. TCS will sing Bruckner’s Te Deum/Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra on March 22 2025 TCS will perform a spring concert 'Bach's Choral Masterworks on May 23 2025 which will feature excerpts from the Bach Mass Show more

TCS collaborates with other musicians performing at benefits & other events in support of the community.
