BY SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO MEET THEIR SHORT TERM BASIC NEEDS LIKE FOOD AND SHELTER WE HELP THEM STABILIZE THEIR INCOME THROUGH EMPLOYMENT OR BY ACCESSING FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT SERVICES AND SUPPORT A CRITICAL STEP IN DECREASING THEIR RISK OF SLIPPING BACK INTO POVERTY. 2) SUCCESSFUL KIDS: UNITED WAY WORKS WITH PARTNER AGENCIES TO PUT CHILDREN AND YOUTH ON A PATH TO SUCCESS BY INVESTING IN THEIR MENTAL HEALTH LEADING THEM ON A PATH OF WELL-BEING FROM INTERGENERATIONAL TRAUMA AND SUPPORTING THEM TO FINISH HIGH SCHOOL AND SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD. 3) STRONG COMMUNITIES: UNITED WAY WORKS WITH LOCAL AGENCY PARTNERS TO BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING VITAL COMMUNITY-BASED RESOURCES THAT ADDRESS COMPLEX ISSUES LIKE MENTAL HEALTH SOCIAL ISOLATION DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND INTERGENERATIONAL TRAUMA AND HELP CHANGE LIVES IN A MEANINGFUL WAY.
