THE SOCIETY IS A MULTI-STAKEHOLDER SOCIETY THAT SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SUSTAINABLE LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM ON VANCOUVER ISLAND. THE OVER-SRCHING GOAL OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO INCREASE THE PRODUCTION OF ISLAND-GROWN FOOD WHILE INCUBATING SOCIAL ENTERPRISES. ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT INCLUDE DEVELOPMENT OF INTENDED PROGRAMMING AND PARTICIPATING IN PUBLIC EVENTS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE THE PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION OF LOCALLY GROWN FOODS.
